The Fastrak Champions Series visited East Alabama Motor Speedway for the second time this season. And, for the second time an Eiland dominated the event...well two Eilands dominated the event. Bobby Joe Eiland (K8) won the pole position, lead all the laps and held off his cousin Dana Eiland for his first ever Fastrak Series win.
Shan Smith had to come from 14th starting position in the last chance race just to make the 40 lap A main. Shan advanced with an eight, and final qualifying spot thru the consi and started 24th in the 24 car field. Shan gained 10 positions in a race that saw virtually no attrition.
Jeremy Ledford was the Tough Luck "winner" but, understandably didn't want to photographed.
