The Fastrak Champions Series visited the half mile at Antioch, NC for the first time in the series history on Saturday July 23rd. And after waiting out a rain delay just before the start of the program another first for the series was Jody Palmer picking up the victory. Palmer, who qualified second and is one of the original Fastrak drivers held off Buck Simmons (who was disqualified after the race for being too light) for the win.
Roger Arowood (8) ran a strong race to come home with a runner-up finish, while Fastrak Southern & National Series points leader David Browning (28) continued his consistent season with a third place run.
